My research and applied work focus on: (1) legal and ethical implications of the design, development and use of AI, algorithms and data in socially significant domains, such as healthcare, education and the justice system; (2) ethical application of AI, algorithms and data in biomedicine and biomedical research; (3) ethically robust design of policies, regulations and governance frameworks for design, development and use of AI, algorithms and data; (4) justice and fairness in machine learning and data.
