EN: This chapter aims to analyze the potential relationships between the climate crisis, the rise of new forms of authoritarianism, and capitalism—three phenomena that are crucial for understanding the global-scale political, economic, and environmental crisis we are currently experiencing. ESP: Este capítulo tiene por objetivo analizar las posibles relaciones que existen entre la crisis climática, el auge de nuevos autoritarismos y el capitalismo, tres fenómenos que resultan cruciales para entender la crisis política, económica y ambiental que estamos experimentando a nivel mundial.

Cuando presenciamos desastres ecológicos provocados por empresas extractivistas, cuyas intervenciones intoxican poblaciones enteras por consecuencia de la expulsión de gases, a la vez que secan lagos completos para llevar agua a mineras, o cuando barcos cargueros derraman miles de toneladas de petróleo al mar, utilizamos la palabra "ecocidio". Pero no tenemos palabra alguna para designar el acto consciente de destruir el planeta en el que vivimos. En tal sentido, Tom Engelhardt propuso la palabra "terracidio". Siguiendo la estela de este concepto, los diez artículos que compilan este libro, escritos por pensadores y activistas radicales de distintas latitudes, comparten una misma urgencia: denunciar el terracidio y, partir de esto, pensar nuevos mundos y modos de vida que nos permitan convivir con la Tierra de una forma simbiótica. Desde el enfoque de la anarquía contemporánea son abordadas y expuestas diversas perspectivas sobre la ecología social, la ética anarquista, la lucha antiespecista y el veganismo, así como propuestas alternativas y anticapitalistas en torno a la economía participativa y el decrecimiento. También se incluyen experiencias de organizaciones que han puesto en práctica el activismo como herramienta, como el Buque Salvavidas Louise Michel, la red queer insurreccional Bash Back! y distintas acciones de sabotaje contra planes extractivistas.

"A Report to an Academy" and "Josephine the Singer or The Mouse Folk" are two stories by Franz Kafka capable of portraying the conflict that Nietzsche describes in his "On Genealogy of Morals" and "Dawn", between the establishment of memory and the force of forgetting, the capacity of establishing customs, and the building of a present. Thus, this article will analyze, first, the problem of the establishment of customs through memory in Nietzsche. And then, secondly, this problem will be analyzed in Kafka’s stories, taking into consideration the role of forgetting and the animality. In this way, the establishment of memory through the exercise of new customs and the forgetting of animality by its characters play a main role in thinking about the relationship between the domestication of the animal that the human is and the forms of forgetting and memory of Kafkaesque animals. Therefore, the contribution of this article lies in incorporating a philosophical reflection to literary analysis, which allows mediating Kafka’s stories and Nietzsche’s philosophy of customs, in a transdisciplinary way.
