He studied philosophy and religion at Shandong University in China and later earned Master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Edinburgh in the UK. Additionally, he attended courses at the Institute of Sino-Christian Studies in Hong Kong in 2015 and at Saint John’s University in Minnesota, USA, in 2019. His research interests include Christian thought and history (especially in the Chinese and Asian contexts), Sinology, and Syriac Christianity.
