On June 4, 2026, there was an online meeting of the participants of the working group formed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to develop a new state standard for philosophical education, as well as invited experts to discuss the main tasks and means of solving them regarding the first higher educational level in philosophy – the bachelor’s degree. Members of the working group led by Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor Angela Boiko took an active part in the meeting. Experts from National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukrainian Catholic University, National University “Ostroh Academy”, Dragomanov Ukrainian State University, and Chernihiv Polytechnic National University were also invited. The topic for discussion was the development of the potential of philosophical education, which is available in the universities of Ukraine, in particular - both in connection with deep transformations in higher education in Ukraine as a whole, and in philosophical education in particular. The practical achievements and unrealized ideas of the previous standard of teaching philosophy in the higher educational institutions of Ukraine were discussed, and accordingly, the possibilities of improving higher philosophical education in Ukraine thanks to the new standard of its teaching. The following issues were discussed: academic freedom of a higher education institution, the place of philosophical and humanitarian education in modern higher education of Ukraine, clarification of basic and special competencies in the provision of philosophical education, expanded implementation of practices in modern philosophical education, use of AI in teaching, learning and academic communication and other relevant issues.

The paper examines the relationship between aesthetics and politics. In modern humanities, we can find few conceptions of this relationship. These conceptions are not only part of political philosophy or political theory, but also a methodological instrument for analyzing modern politics and aesthetics. They provide an opportunity to understand both the features of contemporary politics and the state of modern aesthetic theory in light of the significant changes that have affected both of these spheres. This article analyzes the main models of the relation between aesthetics and politics. We intend to explore the conception of an aesthetic representation by Frank Ankersmit, the conception of aesthetics as politics by Jacques Rancière, and the conception of the emancipation of society by Gianni Vattimo.

This article analyzes Orthodox influence on developing national identity in modern Ukraine. The authors state that the factor of national specificity of Christianity is evident if we consider nations, especially in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition, Christianity influences the development of national cultures and has acquired the national characteristics of a particular community. Also, the war in Ukraine, which was started by the Russian Federation on 24 February 2022, has significantly impacted socio-cultural processes in Ukraine, the functioning of national identity, and the religious situation, especially regarding the Orthodox churches. Authors pay attention to the reference to the topic of national identity in the documents and sermons of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine to show how the Orthodox hierarchies treat these issues. In addition, they study the ideologies that the Russian Orthodox Church creates and tries to impose through the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church churches of the Moscow Patriarchate as a dominant cultural, religious, and political discourse.

Performance theory is one of the methods that can explain dynamic and unpredictable social phenomena. The basics of our research are to be found in the artistic practices that destroyed previous classical patterns in art, while overcoming its boundaries. Accordingly, performance as a practical phenomenon has become the basis for a theoretical explanation of different political processes with carnival nature that influence and change social reality. This article proves that the Maidan in Kiev had a performative nature as well, which developped spontaneously due to its active involvement of the human body and the release of unconscious elements. It is claimed that the use of performative practices inside the Maidan allowed to overcome the totalitarian vertical logic of power, realizing democratic ideals and overcoming nihilism. Therefore, we suggest that performative theory can be applied to similar carnival political, social, and cultural phenomena, revealing their procedural and creative substance.

The article presents a review of Ken Robinson’s book “School of the Future”. In this book, the author states that governments of modern states make a mistake. They orient on standardization, competition, and corporatization in education. We live in the dynamic, changing world which does not have a linear organization. To answer the challenges of the modern world, we need to re-think of the principles of learning. Ken Robinson insists that in order to understand how education should look like, we need to appeal to first principles. Instead of a standardized education Ken Robinson suggests implementation the “organic education”. Education, in his view, should be seen as a biological system and therefore people need to provide the appropriate conditions to ensure that they reached the success.

POLITICAL FRIENDSHIP AND THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE POLITICAL The article is devoted to the problem of definition of the concept of the political on the basis of relations between friend and enemy. Such definition of the political we can find in C. Schmitt’s political philosophy and H. Plessner’s philosophical anthropology. Although this definition mostly pays attention to the antagonistic dimension of the political world, we need to understand an essence of the political friendship. Thus author analyzes different conceptions of the political friendship that have been presented in the works of Aristotle, J. Derrida, H. Arendt. Political friendship is recognized as basis for the creation a political community and for the existence of the political world.
