Dominykas Barusevičius holds a major Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Philosophy, as well as a minor/additional Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, and has attended the core lectures of the Master’s program in Archaeology at Vilnius University as a free listener. Since 2022, he has been pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at Vilnius University. He has participated in archaeological expeditions in Lithuania since 2017 and, in 2025, joined the PAScapes (https://pascapes.lt) research centre as a junior researcher.

His academic interests include Malafouris’s theory of material engagement, Leroi-Gourhan’s concepts of memory, gesture, and milieu, early Eastern Baltic counting practices, and their integration into the broader field of philosophical archaeology and relational ontology.
