I am an epistemologist of science focusing on two streams of research: My theoretical work in the philosophy of science focuses on the epistemology of emerging technologies, principally artificial intelligence. My empirical work in the computational science of science, focuses on the roles that emerging scientific methods and institutions play in scientific discovery. I am also interested in the ethics of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies such as quantum computing in science, business, and society.
