Ph.D. in philosophy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, 1988. Title of dissertation: The Choreography of the Soul: Recursive Patterns in Psychology, Political Anthropology and Cosmology. Served as librarian at the Brooklyn Public Library 1992-2014. I have written on public libraries, the drug wars, the history of philosophy, consciousness and psychedelics.
