I received my PhD from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004. I worked at University of Texas Pan-American for a year and did three years as a research fellow at the National University of Singapore's philosophy department, before taking a post at Qatar University's Department of Humanities where I have been since 2008, and where I established the university's first philosophy program.

My research interests are diverse and interconnected, as is the reality of things. But they generally conglomerate around the intersection of Islamic philosophy, metaphysics, and comparative moral epistemology.
