My philosophical interests center mainly on phenomenology and aesthetics. In my research I synthesize both approaches by clarifying an aesthetic dimension of bodily intentionality. From the phenomenological perspective, I elucidate and develop ideas in Husserl and Merleau-Ponty’s work on bodily intentionality. From the aesthetic perspective, I use dance to give an account of a distinctive feature of bodily intentionality unaccounted for in the mainstream phenomenological tradition.
