I am an Associate Teaching Professor of Philosophy at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Before this, I taught at University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. I received my BA from Oberlin College, MA in philosophy from University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin and PhD from the University of Washington.
I write about cultural heritage (such as ruins and historic buildings), tourism, environmental aesthetics, perfume, and cinema.
I am currently a trustee for the American Society For Aesthetics, and am past co-chair of the ASA's Feminist Caucus Committee.
