Formerly an interdisciplinary philosopher and scholar, I am presently an attorney and one of the few openly transgender women in District Government (bar admissions: District of Columbia and Vermont). Prior to law, I was an academic professor researching and teaching French, philosophy, and gender studies. I hold graduate degrees in law (JD, Georgetown University Law Center), philosophy (MA, University of Alberta), French cultural studies (MA, Columbia University), and comparative literature (MA, PhD, Princeton University).
