I am a Teaching Fellow in Ethics at the University of Birmingham. My research examines action, agency, and autonomy - chiefly in contexts of mental disorder, and informed by the Mad Pride literature. I am interested in value theory and social and political philosophy, explored from a mad theoretic perspective. I am interested in work to decollonise philosophy curricula, by offering students a more globally oriented view of philosohpy. I convene the Hatata group at UoB, which is working to broaden our teaching competence in philosophy across a wider range of traditions. At present, we are exploring ubuntu ethics.
