Emerson Abraham Jackson, PhD (Bham)

Emerson is an experienced economist with a PhD in Economic Livelihood Diversification from the University of Birmingham, whose academic and professional journey reflects a distinguished fusion of scholarly rigour and policy relevance. In his role as Special Economic Assistant / Deputy Director in the Governor’s Office at the Bank of Sierra Leone, he is instrumental in shaping strategic technical economic initiatives, while also nurturing the next generation of economists as a part-time lecturer at IPAM, University of Sierra Leone. His research, featured in respected international publications, along with his active membership in the Royal Economic Society (UK) and the Economic Association of Sierra Leone, highlights his steadfast commitment to advancing critical economic thought, fostering evidence-based policymaking, and promoting inclusive development.
