El descubrimiento estético del ser vivo del Espacio, el Lugar y el Cuerpo, que se tensionan por contraste con el Vacío, el Abismo y el Caos, según las flexibles y múltiples declinaciones del Devenir, el Tiempo y el Límite, figura entre los más recientes y creativos hallazgos del Pensamiento de la Diferencia actual, pues se conecta esencialmente con el ser del Lenguaje tanto plástico como teórico y práctico, atravesando los universos del Arte y las Tecnologías más inteligentes. Ello afecta, además, esencialmente a campos tales como la ontología, la arquitectura, la ecología, la estética y la historia, alcanzando críticamente a cuestionar algunos de los supuestos ya impositivos ya acostumbrados de la racionalidad positivista, que van desde la Física a la Política, impidiendo el acontecer de otras posibilidades y paradigmas, que claman por aflorar en nuestros mundos, pugnando por poder aparecer. Que el Espacio vivo no es un No-Ser, apela desde la obra de Heidegger y Chillida, por ejemplo, a un Arte y Lenguaje fascinantes, que dejan ver de otro modo las relaciones intensivas de los enlaces abiertos que no engloban por extensión sino por sincronía, así como ponen de manifiesto potencias incalculables de la Ausencia que no se da como presente pero sí es perceptible de modo actual y virtual… Asuntos que ya exploraba la Tragedia Ática y su puesta en escena del límite de la muerte como alteridad radical, y son lanzados por el Pensamiento-Arte de la Diferencia de los siglos XX y XXI, yendo a veces desde las raíces de nuestro Inicio hacia los futuros desconocidos que abren y transitan los autores/as de este libro maravilloso. Para ello su texto coral opera trazando viajes por el espacio-tiempo estético a descubrir. Muchos de tales autores/as son doctos conocedores que nos traducen, transmiten y comparten, tanto su saber, como la pasión singular de su explorar y su experiencia, moviéndose por entre constelaciones complejas emergentes. Actúan a través de otros lenguajes y ponen en obra otros mundos posibles que atraviesan distancias llegando hasta nosotros. Este libro nace en el Tajo de Ronda-Málaga mirando al cielo y al abismo de instantes eternos reunidos a la vez, por el pensar-poetizar de espacios y lenguajes abiertos para quienes se atrevan a asumir el riesgo de crear. ---- The aesthetic discovery of the living being of Space, Place and Body, which are tensioned by contrast with Emptiness, Abyss and Chaos, according to the flexible and multiple declinations of Becoming, Time and Limit, is among the most recent and creative findings of the current Thinking of Difference, as it essentially connects with the being of Language both plastic and theoretical and practical, crossing the universes of Art and the most intelligent Technologies. This also essentially affects fields such as ontology, architecture, ecology, aesthetics and history, critically questioning some of the already imposed assumptions of positivist rationality, ranging from Physics to Politics, preventing the emergence of other possibilities and paradigms, which cry out to emerge in our worlds, struggling to be able to appear. That the living Space is not a Non-Being, appeals from the work of Heidegger and Chillida, for example, to a fascinating Art and Language, which allow us to see in another way the intensive relations of the open links that do not encompass by extension but by synchrony, as well as revealing incalculable powers of the Absence that is not given as present but is perceptible in a current and virtual way... Issues that were already explored by the Attic Tragedy and its staging of the limit of death as radical alterity, and are launched by the Thought-Art of Difference of the 20th and 21st centuries, sometimes going from the roots of our Beginning towards the unknown futures that the authors of this marvellous book open and pass through. To this end, their choral text operates by tracing journeys through the aesthetic space-time to be discovered. Many of these authors are learned connoisseurs who translate, transmit and share with us their knowledge, as well as the singular passion of their exploration and experience, moving through complex emerging constellations. They act through other languages and create other possible worlds that cross distances and reach us. This book is born in the Tajo de Ronda-Malaga looking at the sky and the abyss of eternal instants gathered at the same time, by the thinking-poeticising of spaces and languages open to those who dare to take the risk of creating.

The Kiki-Bouba effect comprises a relation between two abstract figures and two non-words: the star-shaped figure is called 'Kiki' and the rounded figure 'Bouba'. The effect is explained by a sound-vision synaesthesia: certain sounds are associated with certain shapes in a non-arbitrary manner.When we asked the participants to decide which of the two figures, the star-shaped or the rounded one, to call yin and which yang, some 85% choose the star-shaped figure as yin. There are previous cases of synaesthesia where personality is attributed to numbers or letters. In our results, the word Kiki is overall happy, clever, small, thin, young, unpleasant, and nervous. The starshaped figure is overall clever, tall, small, slim, nervous, unpleasant, and upper-class. That is, the correspondence above all concerns the qualifying adjectives clever, unpleasant, and nervous, as well as the physical appearance small and thin. This brings us to the fat-thin effect. Cinema, literature, comics, and children's programmes are full of contrasting figures: Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, Laurel and Hardy, Asterix and Obelix, Tintin and Captain Haddock, Bert and Ernie, or the Spanish comic about very naughty twin boys called Zipi and Zape. Our main conclusion is that first names and last names are not entirely arbitrary. There is a correspondence between names and physical characteristics and concepts. The Kiki-Bouba effect is a semantic one.

Durante cinco días, mañana y tarde, más de sesenta especialistas en filosofía, psicología, psiquiatría, medicina y en otras disciplinas, como el arte, la arquitectura, la literatura, etc. —provenientes de diversas geografías de Catalunya, España, Europa y América Latina— compartieron sus reflexiones en el Congreso Internacional Hermenéutica de la locura y la salud en el mundo global: homenaje a Michel Foucault, celebrado entre el 18 y el 22 de noviembre de 2024 y organizado por la Cátedra Internacional en Hermenéutica y Estética Críticas —HERCRITIA—. Este evento fue planeado también en conmemoración del cuadragésimo aniversario de la muerte de Foucault, y tuvo lugar en el Campus Sanitari de Sant Joan de Deu en Sant Boi de Llobregat, institución y ciudad perteneciente a Barcelona, cuya historia está íntimamente ligada a la investigación y el trabajo clínico más avanzado dentro del marco de la salud mental que irradia desde el contexto catalán y español. Las ponencias y debates que allí tuvieron lugar, y que son las que dan origen a este libro que hoy presentamos a ustedes: Tras el efecto Michel Foucault; Hermenéutica actual de la locura y la salud mental, dan testimonio de una preocupación compartida: pensar de nuevo, y pensar en común, las condiciones contemporáneas de la salud, en especial de la salud mental, en un diálogo fecundo que dio lugar una vez más a eso que el filósofo italiano, Gianni Vattimo, llamó en su momento «Hermenéutica de La Latinidad» como subtítulo de la Cátedra HERCRITIA: una comunidad de exploración e intervención social crítica y sensible, articulada por afinidades filosóficas, políticas y culturales. Las distintas contribuciones de este libro no sólo retoman, desde perspectivas diversas, la pregunta por la locura, la salud mental, el poder y la subjetividad, sino que abren nuevas vetas y cauces interpretativos que ponen en juego genealogías filosóficas, análisis contemporáneos y experiencias situadas. Este libro busca, por tanto, ser más que un homenaje: aspira a ser una plataforma crítica desde donde repensar lo que nos está ocurriendo, tanto en los saberes como en los cuerpos y las instituciones.

Several studies on research misconduct have already explored and discussed its potential occurrence in universities across different countries. However, little is known about this issue in Spain, a paradigmatic context due to its consolidated scientific evaluation system, which relies heavily on metrics. The present article attempts to fill this gap in the literature through an empirical study undertaken in a specific university: Universitat Jaume I (Castelló). The study was based on a survey with closed and open questions; almost half the total population of the university’s researchers participated (505 out of 1030, i.e. 49.03%), yielding a representative sample of different academic career stages and areas of knowledge. Results show that 71.68% (n = 362) of the respondents consider at least one form of misconduct to be proliferating in their area of knowledge at the national level. This figure falls to 48.95% (n = 247) in reference to misconduct in their own institution. The most frequently reported types of misconduct linked to life with colleagues are especially the use of personal influence (in evaluation or review processes); lax supervision of doctoral theses; and the abuse of power over people in lower positions. Personal ambitions and pressure from the evaluation system are regarded as the most influential causes of misconduct proliferation, according to academics at this Spanish university.

Developments in the sociology of the body and the sociology of health impel us to investigate embodiment resistances against hegemonic biomedical definitions of normativity. Bearing in mind that the body is a social object defined by institutions, the analysis of body itineraries leads us to glimpse modes of subversion, resistance and destabilization of biomedical definitions. This article deals with the role of modern science and technology in the observation and diagnosis of the body and its consequences in the definition of health and disease, the normal and the pathological. Second, biomedicine is analysed as an institution that orders gender and underpins sexual dimorphism through debates on depathologization and dysnormality. The implications of technology and medicine in the processes of neoliberal subjectivation promoted by body optimization practices are also discussed.

El libro Las generaciones que llegaron tarde presenta los resultados de un trabajo sobre los usos, las estrategias y las percepciones de las generaciones mayores en relación a las tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación. Las apropiaciones de los y las mayores en los ámbitos laboral, relacional y familiar, así como en el ocio, son objeto de análisis a partir de entrevistas en profundidad. Entre los principales resultados destaca el que, a pesar de la gran capacidad de adaptación de las personas mayores a los nuevos entornos digitales, la sociedad informacional sigue avanzando a ritmos desiguales: mientras penetra y media en buena parte de las dinámicas sociales, sigue dejando en los márgenes a una parte de la población perteneciente a las generaciones de más edad.

Si bien la crítica antihumanista de la categoría de lo humano tenía un objetivo eminentemente emancipador, ha desembocado en los últimos años en una paradoja vinculada a la defensa del carácter construido y, por tanto, descualificado de lo humano. Para responder a esta paradoja, varios filósofos ubicados en el espacio teórico del antihumanismo se han visto forzados a repensar, y en cierto modo a recuperar, lo humano. Judith Butler ofrece uno de los tratamientos más sofisticados de esta cuestión en la medida en que propone, según nuestra hipótesis, no un nuevo concepto de lo humano o un nuevo humanismo, sino distintas figuras de lo humano articuladas en torno a dos vértebras fundamentales: la impropiedad y la precariedad. Al explorar la tensión que modula la relación entre estas dos vértebras, sostenemos que Butler estaría sentando las bases para una antropología política crítica, antihumanista y no antropocéntrica.

Partiendo del paralelismo entre las empresas de, por una parte, Diferencia y repetición y El Anti-Edipo, y, por otra parte, Lógica del sentido y Mil mesetas, y siguiendo el enfoque que Bertrand Ogilvie adopta en su libro La seconde nature du politique. Essai d’anthropologie négative, pretendemos determinar si en el paso del primer posicionamiento al segundo –es decir, de Diferencia y repetición a Lógica del sentido y de El Anti-Edipo a Mil mesetas– se produce un abandono rotundo de la perspectiva antropológica, como pudiera parecer a primera vista, o si cabría entender que más bien se sientan las bases de una antropología de lo impropio o antropología negativa que ya anuncia la necesidad de contener y limitar las reivindicaciones de lo inesencial, lo inacabado o el vacío como rasgo característico de la condición humana.

El presente artículo pretende, en primer lugar, identificar el papel que juega la noción de infinito en la filosofía de Gilles Deleuze, donde es erigida como horizonte absoluto de la actividad de pensar y como criterio para distinguir, en virtud de las relaciones que se establezcan con ella, la especificidad de las disciplinas filosófica, científica y artística. Una vez definida la misión de la filosofía como tentativa de salvar lo infinito, se tratará de rastrear las particulares elaboraciones teóricas de Leibniz y Spinoza acerca de esta cuestión como inspiradoras fundamentales de la doctrina deleuziana sobre la infinitud.The present article aims first to identify the role that the notion of infinite plays in Gilles Deleuze’s philosophy, where it is raised as the absolute horizon of thought as well as the criterion for distinguishing, according to the relationships established with it, the specificity of philosophy, science and art. Then, and once defined the mission of philosophy as the attempt to save the infinite, we will try to track the particular theories on this question offered by Leibniz and Spinoza as the fundamental source of inspiration for the deleuzian doctrine on infinity.
