I'm an assistant professor at Brown University. My research focusses on causation and explanation in ancient Greek philosophy. I'm especially interested in the different kinds of agency we find in teleological processes in the natural world and in the domain of human action. I'm currently working on priority relations and teleology in Aristotle's Generation of Animals, Aristotle's analogy between craft and nature, and teleology and agency in Plato's Alcibiades. I'm also a member of the Open Plato Project.
