I received my PhD in Philosophy of Cognitive Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in winter 2020. My research focuses mainly on the intersection of Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Psychology. I am particularly interested in foundational problems associated with concepts as mental representations, and the empirical evidence that cognitive psychology can provide them. I’m a Post-doctoral researcher at the Coordination of Cognitive Sciences and Behavior of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
Other of my interests include research on the gender gap in Philosophy and making efforts to provide some solutions to close the gap. To do so, I collaborated with SWIP-Analytic Mexico from 2020 to 2022. Now, I collaborate with the Red Mexicana de Mujeres Filósofas (ReMMuF) promoting women in Philosophy from different perspectives.
Before coming to Mexico for my graduate studies, I received a BA in Philosophy from The University of Antioquia (Medellin-Colombia) where I worked on Modern Philosophy, particularly on free will from a Kantian point of view.
