I am a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at Auburn University. Before coming to Auburn I taught at Northwestern and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy at Northwestern University in 2025.

I work on German Idealism, aesthetics, and social philosophy, with a particular focus on the idea of freedom. I’m particularly curious about what we can call marginal aspects of freedom: the phenomena and practices which we typically don’t think of as central to freedom but which are nevertheless essential to experiencing life as truly free. Examples might include art, philosophy, and love.
