Mar 2025: I'll be co-presenting a co-authored paper with Craig Callender (UCSD) at the &HPS Conference in Caltech, on the temperature concept in general relativity in relation to the Tolman effect.
Mar 2025: I'll be presenting a co-authored paper with Yichen Luo on de-idealizing de-idealization, at Lingnan and HKUST in Hong Kong.
Nov 2024: I'll be at the PSA as part of a symposium on the limits of thermal physics, organized by me, Bixin Guo (Pitt HPS) and Yichen Luo (UWO). Other speakers include John Norton, Roman Frigg, and Charlotte Werndl.
Aug 2024: I began my appointment as Nanyang Assistant Professor at NTU Singapore.
Jun 2024: I gave a talk on my work-in-progress, 'Putting Pressure Under Pressure: On the Status of the Classical Pressure in Relativity' at the Foundations of Thermodynamics workshop held at Western University in London, Ontario.
Aug 2023 - Jun 2024: I began my appointment as Ahmanson postdoctoral instructor in philosophy of science at Caltech!
Jun - Aug 2023: I was part of the inaugural cohort of Northeastern's AI and Data Ethics Summer Institute!
Nov 2022: My paper, 'T Falls Apart: On the Status of Classical Temperature in Relativity' (link here), received the Mary B. Hesse essay award for the best single-authored paper submitted by a graduate student as a contributed paper for the biennial meeting and accepted for publication in Philosophy of Science by the PSA Program Committee.
June 2022: My paper, 'T Falls Apart: On the Status of Classical Temperature in Relativity' (link here), received the Robert K. Clifton memorial book prize for best paper in philosophy of physics at the Logic, Math, and Physics graduate conference at Western Ontario.
Winter to Spring 2022: I was Predoctoral Fellow in the Philosophy of Quantum Gravity with the Cosmology Beyond Spacetime Project at University of Illinois Chicago.
2019-2020: I was a Data Analytic Governance and Accountability Summer Fellow with the Institute of Practical Ethics at University of California San Diego, working on issues related to explainability in machine learning.
