I research Pyrrhonian skepticism: skepticism consistent with universal suspension of judgment. Pyrrhonism is about keeping all our inquires open, or being chronically unsure. I research how Pyrrhonian skepticism took shape in antiquity, try to give new life to some ancient cases for keeping all our inquires open, and argue by way of zetetic epistemology why being unsure might actually help us achieve our epistemic ends. I also work on skepticism as it's emerged in the remainder of the history of philosophy, with particular emphasis on Modern & Early Modern philosophy, Chinese Buddhism, and 20th-century Continental philosophy.
