I do research on ancient Greek and Indian philosophy. I'm interested in finding new ways to rehabilitate speculative, metaphysical approaches to the mind and to being, such as those found in Neoplatonism, Yogācāra Buddhism, and German Idealism. These approaches have often and unduly been dismissed on the ground of an alleged overcoming of metaphysics, which I want to criticize and deconstruct. I also work on philosophy of religion, patristics, medieval Latin philosophy, modern theology, and philosophy of music.
