FABIO MORANDÍN-AHUERMA holds a PhD in Philosophy (Cum Laude) and is a member of Mexico's National System of Researchers (SNI) under the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). His primary research interests lie in the opportunities and risks associated with the development of advanced machine learning models, algorithmic ethics, the role of international public and private organizations in AI governance, and the ethical dilemmas faced by global technology corporations. He is the author of four peer-reviewed books and over 50 solo and collaborative articles. His notable works include Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges for Education (Concytep, 2024), Normative Principles for AI Ethics (Concytep, 2023), and Fundamental Neuroethics and Decision Theory (Concytep, 2021). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Philosophical Research (CIF) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also holds a Master’s degree in Diplomatic Studies from the “Matías Romero” Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Universidad Veracruzana, where he taught for over ten years. He is currently a Researcher at the Vice-Rectorate of Research and Postgraduate Studies (BUAP) and leads the academic group “BUAP-CA-354, Transdisciplinary Regional Studies,” editing collective works such as Multidisciplinary Perspectives and Research in the Puebla Northeastern Complex (BUAP, 2024), Regional Research from Northeastern Puebla (BUAP, 2022), and Northeastern Puebla: Transdisciplinary Regional Studies (BUAP, 2019). He has directed various research projects and more than 40 theses. FABIO MORANDÍN-AHUERMA es Doctor (Cum Laude) en Filosofía y miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT) en México. Sus principales líneas de investigación se centran en las oportunidades y riesgos asociados al desarrollo de modelos avanzados de aprendizaje automático, la ética algorítimica, el papel de los organismos públicos y privados internacionales en la gobernaza de la IA y, los dilemas éticos de los corporativos tecnológicos globales. Es autor de cuatro libros arbitrados y 50 artículos individuales y colectivos. Entre sus obras destacan: Inteligencia Artificial: Oportunidades y Retos para la Educación (Concytep, 2024); Principios Normativos para una Ética de la Inteligencia Artificial (Concytep, 2023); Neuroética Fundamental y Teoría de las Decisiones (Concytep, 2021). Realizó una estancia postdoctoral en el Centro de Investigaciones Filosóficas (CIF) de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cuenta con una Maestría en Estudios Diplomáticos por el Instituto “Matías Romero” de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores y es Licenciado en Filosofía por la Universidad Veracruzana, en donde impartió cátedra por más de 10 años. Actualmente es Investigador de la Vicerrectoría de Investigación y Estudios de Posgrado (BUAP) y es líder del Cuerpo Académico “BUAP-CA-354, Estudios Regionales Transdisciplinarios”, donde ha sido editor de las obras colectivas: Perspectivas Multidisciplinarias e Investigación en el Complejo Regional Puebla Nororiental (BUAP, 2024); Investigaciones Regionales desde Puebla Nororiental (BUAP, 2022); y Puebla Nororiental: estudios regionales transdisciplinarios (BUAP, 2019). Ha dirigido diversos proyectos de investigación y más de 40 tesis.
