Postdoc fellow at the University of Antwerp. I obtained my PhD from the University of Palermo and the University of Fribourg with a thesis on the spatiality of images. Bringing together phenomenology, aesthetics, and cognitive science (enactivism), I seek to understand how images can appear in our perceptual field and describe the phenomenal differences between pictorial and ordinary objects. I am also interested in neighboring topics such as mental imagery, virtual reality, caricature, and phantoms.
