My research interests range widely over normative ethics, moral psychology, and metaphysics. Currently, I am especially interested in two sets of questions:
(1) What is the relationship between self-interested reasons and moral reasons? Does our conception of the nature of persons have any bearing on that question?
(2) Most of what we love and cherish is impermanent. Indeed, love itself can fade over time. Should these facts trouble us?
