I am a researcher based at University of Manchester. I am primarily interested in what people believe, why they believe it, and how beliefs shape public issues. I am currently researching religious activist views on climate change, and have previously published on echo chambers, fundamentalism and extreme beliefs; political misperceptions and how they shape democracy; and how faith and trust generate resilient belief. I utilise a range of methods in my research, including qualitative interviews, observation, and quantitative analysis; and draw from, and develop concepts within several disciplines, especially theology and analytic philosophy.
