I've been working in meta-ethics, mainly on the buck-passing/fitting-attitude account of value, reasons, non-naturalism, and the history of moral philosophy. I am interested in some of the experimental work on moral judgment. I also have an interest in (and I teach) ethics and philosophy of sexuality. I wrote books on the history of the so-called guise of the good (2023), edited a collection on the same topic (2021) and published a book on value theory (2015).
