Creation mustn't be considerated as a production whose term is creature. Creature as such isn't a term but a beginning. Abandonment of mental limit is a necessary method to reach such a knowledge of creature.

Intelligent model for active power prediction of a small wind turbine
with Francisco Zayas-Gato, Esteban Jove, José-Luis Casteleiro-Roca, Héctor Quintián, Andrés Piñón-Pazos, Elena Arce, and José Luis Calvo-Rolle
    Logic Journal of the IGPL 31 (4): 785-803. 2023.
In this study, a hybrid model based on intelligent techniques is developed to predict the active power generated in a bioclimatic house by a low power wind turbine. Contrary to other researches that predict the generated power taking into account the speed and the direction of the wind, the model developed in this paper only uses the speed of the wind, measured mainly in a weather station from the government meteorological agency (MeteoGalicia). The wind speed is measured at different heights, a…Read more

Numerical solving of equations in the work of José Mariano Vallejo
with Carlos-Oswaldo Suárez Alemán and José-Miguel Pacheco Castelao
Archive for History of Exact Sciences 61 (5): 537-552. 2007.
The progress of Mathematics during the nineteenth century was characterised both by an enormous acquisition of new knowledge and by the attempts to introduce rigour in reasoning patterns and mathematical writing. Cauchy’s presentation of Mathematical Analysis was not immediately accepted, and many writers, though aware of that new style, did not use it in their own mathematical production. This paper is devoted to an episode of this sort that took place in Spain during the first half of the cent…Read more

Comparative Study of Imputation Algorithms Applied to the Prediction of Student Performance
with Concepción Crespo-Turrado, José Luis Casteleiro-Roca, Fernando Sánchez-Lasheras, José Antonio López-Vázquez, Francisco Javier De Cos Juez, José Luis Calvo-Rolle, and Emilio Corchado
Logic Journal of the IGPL. forthcoming.
Student performance and its evaluation remain a serious challenge for education systems. Frequently, the recording and processing of students’ scores in a specific curriculum have several flaws for various reasons. In this context, the absence of data from some of the student scores undermines the efficiency of any future analysis carried out in order to reach conclusions. When this is the case, missing data imputation algorithms are needed. These algorithms are capable of substituting, with a h…Read more

  • Embrione e Feto: un’analisi della rappresentazione sociale
    with Andrea Laudadio
    Alpha Omega 13 (1): 67-85. 2010.
  • The article explores the differences in the values of practising believers, non-practicing believers and atheists. The study was conducted on a group of 1 020 people. The results highlight a very different value structure among the three groups. The principle difference is the fact that believers demonstrate a greater degree of benevolence and tolerance, as well as a more traditional vision. Atheists generally give a high priority to the values of hedonism and stimulation.

On Bourbaki’s axiomatic system for set theory
with Maribel Anacona and Luis Carlos Arboleda
    Synthese 191 (17): 4069-4098. 2014.
In this paper we study the axiomatic system proposed by Bourbaki for the Theory of Sets in the Éléments de Mathématique. We begin by examining the role played by the sign \(\uptau \) in the framework of its formal logical theory and then we show that the system of axioms for set theory is equivalent to Zermelo–Fraenkel system with the axiom of choice but without the axiom of foundation. Moreover, we study Grothendieck’s proposal of adding to Bourbaki’s system the axiom of universes for the purpo…Read more

    Anuario Filosófico 36 (75-76): 311-344. 2003.
The main purpose of this paper is to recover the ancient but neglected concept of politeness, and to show its utility to under-stand some dimensions and problems of our society. In the first part of the paper some weaknesses of Rousseau's philosophy, whose ideas -in my opinion- are very influential on the contemporary crisis of courtesy norms, are discussed. In the second part, taking as a starting point the tradition of gentility, from Greek and Roman philosophy to Enlightenment, it is shown th…Read more
