I am a Distinguished Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at University of California, Davis. I am currently working on the ethics of lying and the role of the state in promoting healthy eating. I was a Fellow at the Bogliasco Ligurian Study Center in 2014 and will be a Fellow at the Brocher Foundation Center in Geneva in 2015.
