I am an Associate Professor at the Virginia Tech Department of Philosophy and a Core Faculty member at the Kellogg Center for PPE. My research primarily focuses on ethical and methodological questions at the intersection of economics, policy, and business, especially as they relate to happiness and well-being. In recent years I have been working on issues related to procedural allocative fairness, and I am currently working on a book on the topic. During the 2026-2027 academic year I am on research leave visiting the Law & Philosophy Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which is part of the Barcelona Institute of Analytic Philosophy (BIAP).
