I am a Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Philosophy Institute (IFS) of CSIC, the Spanish National Research Council in Madrid (in Spanish: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas).
Prior to that I was an FCT Researcher at NOVA Institute of Philosophy (IfilNOVA), Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (2022-2025). I also worked as a lecturer at UCLA (2021-2022).

I'm interested in cognitive abilities and skills, and in the relation between cultural environments and human cognition. I'm particularly interested in human cognition and contemporary technologies.
So far, a great part of my research has been dedicated to the hypothesis of the extended mind and extended cognition, and to some of its implications (e.g, the role of conscious thought in cognitive abilities, knowledge-how, transparency and the role of experience in cognition, cognitive enhancement, and cognitive interaction with intelligent systems).
Among other things, I'm currently working on cognitive development and AI.
