I am a Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Philosophy Institute (IFS) of CSIC, the Spanish National Research Council in Madrid (in Spanish: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas).

I'm specialized in philosophy of mind, philosophy of cognitive science, and epistemology.
I'm interested in cognitive abilities and skills, and in the relation between cultural environments and human cognition. I'm particularly interested in human cognition and contemporary technologies.
So far, a great part of my research has been dedicated to the hypothesis of the extended mind and extended cognition, and to some of its implications (e.g, the role of conscious thought in cognitive abilities, knowledge-how, transparency and the role of experience and its phenomenal character in cognition, cognitive enhancement, and cognitive interaction with intelligent systems).
Among other things, I'm currently working on cognitive development and the cultural modulation of perception and affect, specially through GENAI, augmented reality, and other digital technologies.
