Gour Sundar Mitra Thakur

I am an academic researcher in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. My philosophical interests lie primarily in philosophy of mind, consciousness studies, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and the metaphysical foundations of selfhood and representation. I am particularly interested in questions concerning the nature of subjective experience, the possibility of computational or informational accounts of consciousness, the philosophical implications of artificial intelligence, and the relation between mind, world, and self-representation. My current work explores how ideas from AI, information theory, systems theory, and philosophy of mind may contribute to a deeper understanding of consciousness and its place in nature.
