My research is centred around the phenomenology of social anxiety (also known as social phobia). Drawing upon existential feelings and phenomenological literature, I investigate and question current understanding of social anxiety, which tends to place biased beliefs, avoidance behaviours, and physiological symptoms at the heart of the disorder.
