Halil İbrahim Yılmaz

I am a Dr. & Research Assistant in Islamic History at Sakarya University, specialising in the history, material culture, and military history of early Islam. My research focuses on warfare, arms and armour, and the social and cultural dimensions of military equipment in the Arabian Peninsula during the late pre-Islamic and early Islamic periods. I am particularly interested in material culture studies, Islamic historiography, manuscript sources, and the relationship between technology and society in the formative centuries of Islam. Alongside historical research, I work on bibliometric analysis, research evaluation, and digital humanities methodologies.
