I work in applied ethics and specifically the ethics of environmental technologies. I also have a broader interest in environmental ethics, animal ethics, virtue ethics, philosophy of technology, research ethics and methods in empirical ethics. Much of my work draws on virtue ethics and ethics after Wittgenstein, in particular philosophers like Iris Murdoch, Mary Midgley, and Cora Diamond.
