)biective: The obiective of this study is to undertake a multidimensional analysis o the historical development, cultural continuity, religious-philosophical traditions, and contributions of Nepal s Shaiva civilization to world civilization. The studv critically examines historical, archaeological, literary, and cultural evidence that establishes Nepa as a living center of Shaiva civilization and seeks to clarify its international significance. Methodology: This research adopts a qualitative and interdisciplinary approach. Documentary analysis and comparative study were conducted using nscriptions,archaeological remains, Sanskrit and Nepali religious-historical texts, temple traditions,living cultural practices, and nationally and internationally peer-reviewed research materials. Major Findings: The study demonstrates that Nepal is one of the major centers in the world where a continuously living Shaiva tradition has been preserved. Ancient Shaiva pilgrimage sites, including Pashupatinath, monastery and temple traditions, religious ituals.festivals. and socio-cultural practices demonstrate the uninterrupted continuitv o ancient Shaiva traditions. Nepal has also made distinctive contributions to the preservation and transmission of Shaiva traditions through Shaiva philosophy, art, architecture, pilgrimage culture, and the Himalayan region Significance: This study seeks to re-establish Nepal' s Shaiva civilization as an important subject of world cultural heritage, religious history, and civilizational studies while offering a new perspective to existing scholarship. lts findings are expected to provide theoretical and practical foundations for future research, cultural heritage preservation,policymaking, and international academic collaboration.

This research paper focuses on the analytical study of the historical, social, and religious interrelationships between the Dashanami Sanyasi tradition and Shaiva culture in Nepal. Based on historical evidence, this study attempts to uncover the role played by the Dashanami tradition (Giri. Puri, Bharati, Vana, Paravata, Parvata, Sagara, Tirtha, Ashrama, and Saraswati) _ established by Adi Shankaracharya--in enriching Nepalese Shaiva philosophy and cultural structure. Particular priority is given to presenting the historical involvement of Dashanami Mahants and Sanyasis with the Pashupata area, Muktinath, and various monasteries, temples, and the Guthi ystem across Nepal, alongside heir administrative-religious responsibilities and social contributions. Based on qualitative and historical-descriptive methodologies, this study analyzes primary and secondar, sources, including inscriptions, historical documents, genealogies, and field studies. The study reveals how, trom the medieval to the modern period, Dashanami Sanyasis evolved beyond mere renunciants or house- renouncing ascetics to become integral components of local society, state governance, trade, and Guthi management. Furthermore, it clarifies the status of the 'Sanyasi' community (specifically householder Giris, Puris, Bharatis, etc.) within the caste and social hierarchy, their lineage preservation, and their contribution to the continuity of Shaiva traditions. In conclusion, the Dashanami Sanyasi tradition constitutes an integral and living foundation of Nepalese Shaiva culture, having played a vital historical role in shaping Nepal's distinct religious tolerance and cultura identity.

This paper explores the intricate relationship between cosmic order, consciousness, and epistemology within the ancient Vedic sage (Ṛṣi) tradition through a Shaiva hermeneutical lens. Focusing on the contextual framework of Himavatkhaṇḍa, the study re-examines the intellectual history of South Asia and Nepal by integrating the philosophical foundations of Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika and Śaiva Siddhānta. Moving beyond western-centric historiography and purely ritualistic interpretations, this research highlights how Shaiva traditions offer profound insights into natural conservation, environmental consciousness, and the interconnectedness between Himalayan ecology and spiritual civilization. Artificial intelligence (AI) is often understood as a tool that can preserve, translate, promote, or hreaten culture. This article argues that AI does not merely circulate cultural content; it becomes he infrastructure through which cultures are made visible, authorized, translated, valued, and enabled-or prevented--from shaping the future. Through training data, model design recommendation systems, content moderation, and platform ownership, AI determines which languages, aesthetics, memories, and knowledge systems attain cultural authority. Cultural homogenization is therefore not simply the spread of similar content; it is the narrowing of the epistemic, linguistic, aesthetic, and institutional conditions through which different civilizations nake meaning and build futures. The article responds to four central questions: Can Al coexist with cultural plurality? Whose values should AI align with? Who controls cultural data anguages, and creative works? And why is cultural preservation alone insufficient? It argues that these questions require more than better representation or ethical guidelines; they require restructuring the data, value systems, ownership, and governance of Al itself. To address this, the article develops a theory of civilizational pluralist AÏ governance. It advances three concepts cultural data sovereignty, affirming community authority over cultural data, consent, provenance ınd benefit-sharing; pluralist value alignment, treating alignment as participatory and context- sensitive rather than the universalization of one moral framework; and polycentric cultura. accountability, requiring shared responsibility among communities, creators, states, platforms, and global institutions. Drawing on the Himalayan and Nepali context as a lived example of inguistic, religious, and cultural plurality, the article shows that small and plural societies car provide a normative imagination for AI governance beyond Western universalism. It concludes that the central question is no longer only "Who may speak?" but "Whose knowledge, language,memory, and creativity become the infrastructure of AI's future?" Civilizational pluralism requires moving beyond preservation toward cultural sovereignty, equitable cultural economies, participatory value alignment, and polycentric AI governance.
