I was born and raised in Taiwan. Before joining the University of Delaware, I taught at City University of Hong Kong (Department of Public Policy), Tunghai University (Department of Philosophy), and California State University Fullerton (Department of Philosophy). My areas of specialization include Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law; my areas of competence include Ethical Theories, Applied Ethics, and Chinese Philosophy. Currently I have two main research projects—one on nationalism, and the other on criminal punishment.
