My areas of specialization include Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law. I have been working on two primary research projects—one on criminal punishment and the other on nationalism. While these two projects sound different, one theme that connects them is the justification of rights and their limits. My research on nationalism considers the interests involved in national identity and membership; it investigates the extent and limitations of a nation’s right to govern itself.
