Hello, I am a Muslim philosopher. I have a hands on approach to philosophy and religion in which I strongly prioritize utility and the ability to practice. Hello, I am a Muslim philosopher. I have a hands on approach to philosophy and religion in which I strongly prioritize utility and the ability to practice. I like to spend my time contemplating on values, principles, how to describe, think about, and apply them, and perception. Since I was a kid, these subjects have been useful to me in living and engaging in discussion.
I enjoy reading many works of Muslim Philosophers like Ibn Tufayl's Hayy Ibn Yaqdhan or Allama Iqbal's Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam because of the variety in meaning and explanation of the same principles. I also enjoy the unique effect of era on Islamic philosophers and how it changes their diction. My favorite example is Iqbal's focus on "the ego" and the "perfect which but is uniquely reiterated and described through the understanding of Rumi's Shahnamanah. In my opinion, his commentary on the ego is the most beautiful writing I have read.
I also have recently started practicing Zhaobao Taijiquan and learning Daoism literally with my hands and movement.
