Applied Ethics

I am an economist and political philosopher. My primary research interests are in theories of distributive justice and the ethics of markets. My secondary research interests are in animal ethics, theories of well-being, and philosophy of death.

I am currently based at Utrecht University, where I work as postdoctoral fellow on a research project entitled Private Property and Political Power in a Liberal-Democratic Society, led by Prof. Dr. Rutger Claassen, and funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO). My subproject focuses on individual property.
