I am a Professor in Philosophy of Psychology in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Birmingham. Before moving to Birmingham, I was a Professor and Gabriele Taylor Fellow at St. Anne's College, Oxford. Currently I am on leave as a Visiting Research Scholar in the Program in Cognitive Science at Princeton University. I will return to Birmingham full-time in Autumn 2019. My work primarily focuses on topics at the intersection of philosophy of mind and cognitive science. Major current projects concern temporal experience, and the nature and limits of perception and consciousness.
