Ian J. Thompson has been a Physics Professor at the University of Surrey, a Fellow at the Center for Swedenborgian Studies of the Graduate Theological Union, and a Theoretical Nuclear Physicist at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, USA. He is currently retired and working part time. He also investigates the ontological foundations of physics and mind. Most recently he has examined theism like a scientific theory, to clarify its foundations and make specific predictions about the nature of minds and of the physical world.
