While my philosophical interests are wide ranging, my investigative focus is in computational ethics. As the influence of AI grows, computational ethics is increasingly important. I studied philosophy at the University of Maryland where a course in meta-logic taught by Michael Morreau was especially enlightening along with the assigned text, 'Logic, Language and Meaning', by the LTF Gamut collective. I was captivated by the compositionality of meaning and computational models that map linguistic symbols to their meanings. It seems here we have simplified model of an aspect of human cognition.
