Most of my work concentrates on certain philosophical issues regarding how thought, language, and reality relate to one another. The central notion of my research is reference, and I have been particularly interested in our linguistic ability to refer to something unknown to us by which we enjoy curiosity and ask questions. I have recently published a book on the topic, The Philosophy of Curiosity (Routledge, 2012), and by using some of the ideas I developed in it I am currently working on another book project that argues that truth is a form of reference.
