My research areas are political philosophy (political epistemology, liberal theory) and Islamic philosophy. I hold a PhD in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Ankara University with a dissertation on Avicenna's epistemology. I now work towards another PhD in Philosophy at Vanderbilt University. My broader interests span epistemology (social epistemology, empiricism), ancient, medieval, and early modern philosophy, history of analytic philosophy, ethics (esp. moral intuitionism), and philosophy of religion.
