No direito abs…Read more

27Discourse and Dissensus: Lyotard and Rancière as Critics of HabermasPensando: Revista de Filosofia 16 (39): 81-104. 2026.This work analyzes the critiques by Jean-François Lyotard and Jacques Rancière of the consensus-based model of normativity proposed by Jürgen Habermas. Drawing from the distinction between moral and ethical models in political philosophy, it argues that consensus, while central to Habermas’s theory, is insufficient to encompass the complexity of social and political interactions. Lyotard introduces the concept of “différend,” which highlights the incommensurability between different language reg…Read more

20DandyismPolitical Concepts 8. 2025.I suggest that dandyism, more than a trans-historical concept, is also a political one. It is political because it names a practice that not only lives in the world, but also interferes in it. In exploring the politicality of dandyism, my goal is to expose three constitutive aspects of this interference. More specifically, I aim to investigate the content, type, and form this interference takes. Respectively, I claim that dandyism is, first, a concept about the social—one that points to the worl…Read more

38Retroactive Dialectics and Value in Marx's CapitalRevista Opinião Filosófica 7 (1). 2016.In this paper I expose Caligaris and Starostas argument on the logical character of the initial moments in Hegels and Marxs dialectics; I argue that the categories of Marxs theory of labor-value must be read in such a way that value, or substance of value, is taken non-substantially, arising only with the emergence of exchange value, or the value-form; Finally, I attempt to justify this reading from the standpoint of the idea of self-posited presuppositions, as developed by Slavoj Zizek.

2288Justiça e Punição na Filosofia do Direito de HegelDireitos Fundamentais and Justiça 28 153-164. 2014.In this paper, we attempt to reconstruct Hegel’s theory of punishment through its development on the levels of abstract right and civil society, incorporating to the latter the concepts of contingency and arbitrariness. We demonstrate how the unjust is anulled and how right is restored under a retributive foundation of the penalty. We approach the issue of the death penalty and conclude that a retibutivist argument is insufficient to serve as its foundation.
