James Leigh

I received my BA (Hons) degree in philosophy from the University of Durham (UK), writing a dissertation on Nietzsche and eternal recurrence, before completing an MA in philosophy, also at the University of Durham. My MA research focused on Wittgenstein, specifically his account of aesthetic language. Subsequently, I received my BA (Hons) degree in theology from the University of Oxford, where I wrote a follow up dissertation on Wittgenstein's account of religious language. I am currently a PhD research student at the Open University where my research focuses on Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, and the challenge of anti-philosophy as proposed by the French philosopher, Alain Badiou. I am supervised by Dr Manuel Dries and Professor Sophie-Grace Chappell.
