Jan-Boje Frauen

Jan-Boje Frauen is an associate professor in European studies at Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU), Hangzhou, China. His academic background includes a Chinese postdoc certification in philosophy of science and a PhD in International Relations from Xiamen University, China, a Master’s degree in philosophy as well as American, English and German studies from Göttingen University, Germany, and graduate studies at the University of California Santa Cruz, USA. A key element in Jan’s research is the interplay of subjectivity and the objective world. In this context, he is interested in the transcendental ends of spacetime, but also in how sociocultural evolution can be embedded within a coherent framework of biological and cosmological evolution.
