Jan Josl Ph.D. studied philosophy and aesthetics at Charles University of Prague. He finished his doctorate by thesis 'Umění a péče o duši u Jana Patočky' ( Art and Care of the Soul in Jan Patočka's Philosophy).His main areas of interest are phenomenological aesthetics, Jan Patočka's philosophy of art, hermeneutics and relation between art and natural world, high and low art, art and ethics.
