I am a philosopher of science working on statistical inference, scientific objectivity, and confirmation, causation and explanation in science. From 2015 to 2021, I have conducted this work in the framework of an ERC Starting Investigator grant "Making Scientific Inferences More Objective" (project website: msio.wordpress.com).
I have a strong interest in using formal methods (probability in particular) for modeling scientific reasoning, and so some of my work intersects with "classical" formal epistemology, decision theory, causal inference and the semantics of conditional/counterfactual connectives.
