I'm working on my dissertation on the value of natural complexes with the working title "Intentional Minds - A Non-anthropocentric View on the Valuer and the Value of the Natural Complexes". My main interest is to give an individualistic non-anthropocentric theory of value of complex natural systems. That is to say, systems which are comprised of several interconnected individual objects who do not have necessary interdependence. Examples of different complex systems are: ecosystems and biotic communities, and groups of which the species is one case.

The theory builds on the instrumental phenomenal experience of a valuing subject, and is intended to be alternative for anthropocentric monetary valuing of nature. It could also be understood as an explanation of intrinsic value in the sense of objective value independent of human valuer, or value due to systems intrinsic properties.
