I am currently an Associate Lecturer in philosophy at St Andrews. I specialise in ancient Greek philosophy. Prior to coming to St Andrews, I was a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, and a Michael Cohen Fellow and Lecturer in Ancient Philosophy at Exeter College, University of Oxford. My research centres on ancient Greek theories of the soul, metaphysics, and ethics. I am particularly interested in how these ancient theories can help to illuminate contemporary debates in metaphysics and ethics. I am currently hard at work on some foundational chapters for a new book project on time and determinism in Aristotle.
